Back from the AI in Education Symposium at Albany. One thing stood out: These werenโt skeptics; they were the forward-thinking ones, the people who chose to show up and engage. And still, the fear was palpable.
Meanwhile, ๐๐ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐๐ฅ๐ซ๐๐๐๐ฒ ๐ข๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ซ๐จ๐จ๐ฆ, just not in the way districts control:
โข 42% of students report using AI tools weekly in their schoolwork (Technological Horizons in Education, June 2025)
โข 30% of teachers say theyโre using AI weekly to support instruction (Gallup, June 2025)
AI is an open-ended technology. Even the engineers building it call it a black box. You never know quite what will come out. Thatโs exciting for individual work, but terrifying for school systems accountable for:
โข Quality and accuracy
โข Equity and accessibility
โข Legal compliance, student safety, and public scrutiny
Thatโs a gap weโre solving atย NovoDia. Weโre not offering โAI magic.โ Weโre building a curriculum platform designed to:
โข Generate content using AI thatโs trained on standards and ground truths, not internet noise
โข Follow district-specific scope, sequence, and instructional intent
โข Incorporate human-in-the-loop vetting before anything reaches students
โข Enable full visibility, version control, and traceability - no surprises
โข Deliver curriculum thatโs owned by the district, not trapped in a vendorโs box
In short: creative power with structural integrity. Read More
